Doppelpartment is a psychological horror game with pixel graphics where you play as Allan, an elderly apartment manager, caught between reality and illusion as the tenants start to change little by little.

Doppelpartment Game Story

You live alone in an old apartment building where every little sound echoes through the empty hallways. Every day is the same, eat breakfast, turn on the TV, watch the news, then knock on each apartment door to collect the rent. But then, you start to realize something is wrong. Something is not right.

Check each apartment

Every door you knock on, every face that appears, there is something wrong. Someone smiles for too long. Someone no longer remembers who you are. Someone looks exactly like the person you met on another floor. Doppelgangers – monstrous clones, are replacing each person in the building.

You are the only one who can tell the difference—and may be the only one left alive.

Isolation, Confusion, and Depression

Your apartment is more than just a place to live—it’s a place where memories, illusions, and reality collide. You dream of talking doors, inviting voices, and figures standing outside peepholes that never knock.

You turn on the TV to calm yourself, only to see bizarre shows like “My Nurse Is a Giant Green Monster” or the horror film “The Curse of the Bloodstained Pink Curtain.” You read about underground facilities filled with thousands of empty humanoid boxes, then turn around and look at your apartment—is it really the one you still live in?

Doppelpartment gameplay

  • Collect rent: Knock on each apartment door, interact with residents, and choose your words carefully.
  • Detect doppelgangers: Pay close attention to small details—from eyes, words, and actions—to find the impostor.
  • Survive in a Paranoia: Can you trust your own memories? Or are you one of them?

Doppelpartment is not a game to be played but an experience—about repetition, about disorientation, and about doubting yourself. Still trembling? Let's step into an even more terrifying adventure in SCP 096.
