Side Effects Game

Side Effects Game is a 2–8 player card game where you try to get rid of all your mental disorders by taking the right drugs - but be careful, each drug has side effects!

The goal of Side Effects Game

Be the first to get rid of all your disorder cards by playing the appropriate medicine cards.

Card Types

• Disorders: Illnesses like Depression, Anxiety, Insomnia, etc.
• Medications: Used to cure disorders but will cause side effects.
• Side Effects: Appear when taking drugs — and you have to cure them too!
• Cure Cards: Some special cards that help you remove side effects or change your cards.
• Action Cards: Cards that help you disrupt others, protect yourself, or change your luck.

Side Effects Gameplay

• Each person starts with four Disorder cards.
• Draw 1 card from the deck each turn.
• Play a Medication card if you have one that matches one of your Disorders.
• Please acknowledge the Side Effects of the medication you have just used.
• Please continue playing and address the Side Effects, or utilize a special card to eliminate them.
• The first person to get rid of all the Disorders wins!

Note

• A medication can cure multiple disorders — use smart strategies.
• But if you use too many medications at once, you'll have more side effects to deal with!
• You can also play cards to confuse others, causing them to get additional illnesses or side effects.
