VICTIM.exe is a strange executable file found in the depths of the internet, containing a badly corrupted maze game with an unspeakably creepy atmosphere. Developed by Alexander Wisman—the man behind haunting titles like the Sad Satan remake and Fear Assessment—the game is more than just a navigational challenge; it’s a psychological experience that will leave you on edge every second.
You start the game in a bizarre forest maze where every sound, light, and even the game window seems to be working against you. The simple controls (WASD, sprint, and “crab walk” to speed up) don’t help much when visibility is limited and the turns all look the same.
As you move, the screen sometimes goes dark, the sound suddenly disappears, or static faces appear in the corners of the screen—something that is both curious and creepy because you don’t know when it will change.
The game constantly uses long stretches of silence to build up anxiety, only to suddenly unleash a deafening blast of sound that makes the player jump. Random elements—like lifeless statues, strange glowing objects, or strange sounds in the distance—give the impression that you’re being watched, even if you can’t see the stalker.
In some areas, trees seem to approach, walls seem to stretch forever, or entire villages appear, but there’s no clear direction. Encountering a “cursed” trash bag can plunge everything into darkness, forcing you to fumble aimlessly with only a flicker of light.
VICTIM.exe isn’t focused on solving puzzles or finding a quick exit. Instead, the game plays like an experiment with the player’s psychology—constantly changing the environment, sound, light, and even the interface to create unease. Long corridors, unusual gaps, and details like mysterious symbols, emotionless statues, and a persistent screeching sound all add to the tension.
If you thought a simple maze game couldn’t scare you, VICTIM.exe will prove you wrong. It’s a strange and terrifying experience where your computer and your senses become part of the game. If you like games with a thrilling, mysterious storyline, then Porkbound is for you.
