Three Nights at Thomas’s 3D is a survival horror game that utilises the intense resource management concepts of popular horror games. Thomas the Tank Engine, a character you knew as a kid, becomes a real nightmare when he kidnaps you and locks you in a dark garage for three whole nights.
You have from midnight to 6 AM each night to try to survive. But Thomas is not the only threat; another unknown presence stalks the building, making every choice vital. You have limited fuel, a power system that runs out rapidly and security doors that are sometimes not working, so you're constantly balancing surveillance, defence and resources.
Hit the grey button, and the hallway lights will come on. The light lets you see hazards coming at you. But the lamp burns fuel constantly, so you have to turn it on only a little and watch it and then turn it off right away.
You can press the red button to shut the garage door if it senses danger. The door serves as your primary defence against intruders. If the light is on, the door will not close. Turn off the light before arming the security system.
The garage lights are powered by the coal furnace. If the coal runs out, the lights go out, making it difficult to monitor enemies. Remember to monitor your fuel levels regularly and add coal before you run out.
The shield icon is the amount of energy in the system. If your energy bar is low, you will need to tap the power panel many times to get your energy back. If you ignore the power source for too long, key equipment will fail at vital times.
While most horror games depend on jump scares, Three Nights at Thomas's 3D instills tension in players by making them balance many tasks at once.
