Slender Multiplayer

Slender Multiplayer offers you a multiplayer take on the traditional Slender Man horror experience (where scares, teamwork, and sudden betrayals go hand in hand). Instead of searching a spooky environment by yourself, you can team up with other people in a shared survival experience. You'll be searching the scenery for eight pages, with the very possibility that the Slender Man himself will emerge from the shadows at any time to hunt down the unfortunate survivors. The kicker is that you might even get to play as the monster yourself, making a scary escape a tense game of cat and mouse.

The game takes place in gloomy, spooky settings such empty rooms, hallways, staircases, and outdoors. Players use flashlights to explore the depths of our dark and murky rooms in pursuit of secret pages. But darkness isn't all you have to deal with. Other players will try to trap you by seeming to be friendly or dragging you into harmful situations. This leads to unanticipated meetings where communication and trust are just as vital as getting the objectives. Multiplayer also adds a fair bit of comedy, particularly when buddies freak out, or get separated (or separated up) or unknowingly walk into death together.

How to play Slender Multiplayer

During each round, the players will spawn into the map and start seeking for pages that are dispersed about. If you're a survivor, you must collect all eight papers and escape before Slenderman kills you. While exploring the rooms and areas, look in dark nooks with your flashlight to find the pages. They may be in different locations than other places, therefore memorizing the full map may not always work. You need to pay attention and adapt each time.

The monster is the actual challenge. Instead of a survivor, Slender Multiplayer allows you to play as Slenderman against players or the CPU player in a single-person match. Your mission as Slenderman is radically different: hunt down the survivors, teleport about the map, and stop the survivors from collecting all eight sheets. Remember that as survivors pick up pages, Slenderman gets faster, so brace yourself for more aggressive survivors in the closing act.

Maps can contain numerous levels, including stairs, balconies, outdoors, and objects such as cars or pools. You can get inside these locations and perhaps find hidden pages, but you can become imprisoned in a room or in furniture and left exposed. Each round is a new combination of tricks, fights, and exploration.

Tips & Tricks

  • Look in different areas: Pages may be located in several spots. Inspect rooms, look upstairs, check on stairs and in the open: don't just check in the same place.
  • Don't use your flashlight excessively: Scan dark corners of a spot, but do not give up battery life. When you hold E to recharge, it will make a noise that other Slenderman players can use to roughly locate you.
  • Slenderman can play on your curiosity, so don't just turn around to see behind you. If another player urges you to turn around or go inside a certain room, be wary.
  • Memorize the map: Know the locations of the stairs, exits, and vital landmarks to escape when the monster is near.
  • Don't stray too far from one another: Keeping your colleagues within sight aids exploration, but don't rely 100% on any one person.
  • Use your surroundings: Doors, hallways, balconies, and furniture can chart out your movements on the map. Learn the layout to avoid becoming cornered in a chase.
  • Surprise with Slenderman: Pay attention to where survivors are looking and teleport to places they will not expect. As you acquire more pages, the faster you can speed up on survivors.

Want to Take Multiplay Back to The Horror?

Slender Multiplayer takes the original page hunting and adds a flare of random player interaction to make each round a terror experience like no other. The gloom, the deceptions, and the wild chases are very good whether you're escaping the monster or becoming it. If you want to face Slender Man again in first person in another eerie horror scenario or face Slender Man solo in a more classic forest survival adventure, then give The Tall Man a try.
