The Tall Man

The Tall Man is a first-person horror survival game that leads you through gloomy woods with abandoned structures, creepy hints, and unnatural forces. Avoid a tall, faceless beast that appears to materialize out of nowhere when you least expect it and use just a flashlight to track down nine secret pages. But there's more to your nightmare than just leaving the jungle. New, unsettling places and crawly meetings on the way give the impression that something worse is surrounding you.

The game is set in a bleak 3D world with tall trees, derelict houses and buildings, and tunnels underneath. The visuals of the game are gloomy blue-gray and depressing, and you can only see a small part of your surroundings thanks to your flashlight's yellow beam. There is also a HUD that offers essential information like how many pages you have collected, your flashlight's battery, and a countdown timer and mini-map. Sudden background music and spooky sound effects provide the element of unpredictability to familiar places.

It is your job to scour the woods to find all nine pages before the Tall Man catches you. Look for dirt roads and vacant buildings and be on the lookout for odd artifacts that can be crucial clues. Left clicking highlighted things is quite useful while searching houses or other areas.

Of course, having escaped the forest, a much greater adventure awaits! You'll subsequently go underground and have the event of turning on eight generators to power an elevator. All the generators must be found and returned to the elevator through dark corridors while you are being hunted by a supernatural being.

You may have to investigate a case of somebody gone missing, scavenge fuel for generators, find a key to go inside a church, or watch VHS videos to learn more about unnerving historical events. • Follow dirt paths: In the forest it might get confused when all directions appear the same. Follow paths: Exploring is easier if you don't walk over the same areas repeatedly.
• Look inside buildings: Abandoned houses, containers, cars, and other buildings may hold papers or useful items. Do not skip them: Check the area surrounding them.
• If the Tall Man does appear, keep moving: Staring at the creature or loitering around it is asking to be a target. Simply focus on avoiding it and getting to where you're going.
• Listen for sounds: Background music and strange noises can suggest that something dangerous is in the vicinity. Consider these sounds to be warnings and don't wait until the creature is right in front of you.
• Flashlight battery: Your flashlight is a crucial tool in dark areas, particularly underground. Keep an eye on the battery so you aren't left stumbling about with no sight.
• Note your searches: If you are searching for several things or generators, try to keep a mental note of where you've searched already. This will save time and allow you to plot a more efficient course.
• Look for environmental cues: Arrows, glowing objects, keys, and interactive things may lead you to your next task. If you get stuck, don't reset everything, just look around first.
