The Deadseat is a terrifying experience where the car becomes a death cockpit, and you – a child – must struggle to survive in two parallel worlds. You are sitting in the back seat of an old family car, holding a game console. Outside, it is cold and dark, and the road stretches out endlessly. While your parents argue endlessly in the front, something unusual begins to happen.
Everything starts normally – you turn on the camera, adjust the lighting, put on your headphones, and get ready to play a game. In the car, your parents, Harold and your mother, are arguing about inviting Maria – your mother’s mother – to live with them. Amidst the harsh words, you can only silently scroll through each scene with the Game Kid, trying to avoid the tired voices of the adults.
But when the GPS announces, "Current route is no longer available, searching for an alternate route" everything begins to change. The car takes a turn onto a strange road that is not shown on the map. Dense trees, flickering lights, and a suspicious presence on the roof of the car.
You control two layers of reality at the same time:
It all happens simultaneously, forcing you to constantly switch between the virtual and real worlds—between adventure and defence, between games and nightmares.
The Deadseat combines the spirit of Five Nights at Freddy’s with the storytelling of Inside or Oxenfree. The two-layer gameplay mechanics keep you on your toes, your eyes darting between the game and the scene outside the car. One minute you’re driving to avoid obstacles; the next you’re turning on the camera to scare off the creature on the roof. And then you’re back in the virtual world to pick up a barricade or a turkey.
The Deadseat is more than just a survival game. It’s a journey to escape chaos – not just on the highway, but in your own home. And the scariest thing, sometimes, isn’t what’s on top of your car but what you hear in the front seat.
Prepare yourself for a terrifying journey in Necromancer 2: The Crypt of the Pixels, where darkness hides more than you can imagine.
