Human Expenditure Program, also known as BloodMoney 2, is the sequel to the game BloodMoney, opening with the story of Harvey Harington and his wife, Yunmi. Harvey accepts to participate in a special project: transferring his consciousness into a simulated world. There, your mission sounds simple—keep him happy, healthy, and full of food and drink, just like a typical management game.

However, after only a few days, you begin to notice unusual things: a shaky voice, vague memories, and the feeling that Harvey is gradually remembering something outside the script.

Human Expenditure Program Gameplay

The game revolves around managing Harvey's vitals:

  • Food & mood: You have to buy food (but the price is suspiciously unreasonable) and find ways to improve his mood.
  • Mini-games: From whack-a-mole to memory games to workouts—all of them help to boost your mood, but there’s a tense atmosphere that feels like more than just a game.
  • End of each day: As the screen fades to black, you realize that you’re not just a player—you’re also in control of a system that makes money off of Harvey’s pain.

The Darkness Behind the Curtain in BloodMoney 2

The game’s twist is that Harvey isn’t just a virtual character. His consciousness has been uploaded to serve a lucrative program. With each turn, you earn a huge amount of money, while Harvey falls deeper and deeper into a state of panic.

He starts talking about strangely vivid dreams, unexplainable pain, and memories of his real-life son Toby. His wife—Yunmi—still tries to convince him to stay, but you, as the controller, know that it’s all just a cold-blooded business game.

Blood Money 2 Endings

  • The game offers a variety of endings depending on your choices:
  • Continue to use Harvey as a money-making tool, pushing him deeper and deeper into the nightmare loop.
  • Or find a way to Save Harvey, unlocking a rare path to redemption.
  • Each choice leads to different plot twists, making you wonder: where is the line between a game and real cruelty?

Human Expenditure Program (BloodMoney 2) is a strange blend of pet simulator, psychological horror, and narrative-driven game. It doesn't scare you with jumpscares but rather forces you to play the role of a controller and accomplice in a program that turns humans into entertainment. If you like more horror games then play 911: Prey.
