If you've ever played those old "big fish eats little fish" web games, Crazy Shark will give you a familiar yet different feeling that won't bore you. You start with a tiny shark, looking a bit naive, swimming alone in the vast ocean. And true to the unspoken law of the sea: if you don't eat, you die.

How to play Crazy Shark

Hunting to survive

The feeling when you first start playing is quite clear: constant hunger. Your health bar steadily drops, forcing you to immediately start hunting. Initially, you only dare to nibble at small fish, small crabs, or even slightly amusing things like floating sushi or glass jars with gold. It sounds strange, but in the game, it makes sense in a weird way.

As you become more experienced, you'll start to take risks. Surfacing near the water's surface to catch tourists or passing birds yields much more gold, but it's also easy to get into trouble if you're slow. The feeling of leaping out of the water, grabbing your prey, and then falling back down is quite satisfying, very much like an arcade game.

A beneficial feature is that when you're strong enough, you can hunt other sharks. But it's not just about rushing in; you need to know how to angle, usually biting the belly, using speed and bite force. These moves are effective when executed flawlessly, but any failure necessitates a complete restart.

Avoiding Dangers

The game goes beyond simply consuming large fish. It also knows how to tease you with scattered dangers: bombs at the bottom, poisonous pink fish that look harmless but aren't, or bigger fish always ready to bite you. Sometimes you think you're the king, only to turn around and encounter a bigger one—you're doomed.

Features of Crazy Shark

  • Deep water will cause you to lose health due to pressure (this detail surprised me at first).
  • Occasionally, there are chests at the bottom, like small rewards to keep you coming back each day.
  • There are portals to other maps, where things are a bit strange, like an ice world with penguins, but in return, the humans there shoot compelling arrows.
  • Gold earned is used to upgrade bite power, speed, boosts… In general, the difference becomes clearer later on if you invest wisely. Without upgrades, you'll fall behind very quickly.

Crazy Shark is a big fish eats little fish game with a mechanism of eat – live – grow – hunt. But thanks to the fast pace, the constant hunger, and the need to always move, it maintains just enough tension to keep you hooked. Another interesting game is Cheat or Repeat, where you'll find yourself in a different, equally thrilling and tense situation.

I would like the game to have more features, making it 99.99% identical to the real Hungry Shark Evolution.
