Purgatorium is a short but haunting horror game that gives players a creepy experience. With point-and-click gameplay combined with jump scares, the game will gradually reveal dark mysteries.
At the beginning of the game, the player finds himself imprisoned in a dark and mysterious room. In the room are familiar but unusual objects such as a BBQ fork, a chair and a blood-stained wall. When going into each detail and discovering clues, the player gradually realises that he is the one who caused the tragedies of the past. In the game, he is a mentally ill husband and father; he murdered his virtuous wife and young child.
Players will have to search for each clue and solve small puzzles to find a way to escape the stuffy room. Each seemingly meaningless object contains haunting pieces of the main character's past sins. The puzzles in the game require careful observation and sharp reasoning skills.
Although the playing time is not long, Purgatorium still leaves a strong impression thanks to its tragic story and profound message of redemption, making players ponder even after the game has ended. Check out other horror game on our site: Five Nights at Christmas.
