Play Time is a Point & Click horror game where you're trapped in a dark house full of suspicious clowns. The goal is simple: find a way to open the door and escape. But the problem is… the friends the homeowner invited aren't friendly at all.

Right at the start, you receive a strange message from a clown. He says he's invited some friends to a party, and your mission is to open the door and escape alive. However, you must be careful, because if the clowns see you or the light from your flashlight, it will all be over rapidly.

How to play Play Time

Players will explore every corner of the room to find the necessary items. You can pick up many different items, such as a toy knife, balloons and party decorations, handles, keys, or mechanical tools. You might even need a water gun to extinguish fires. Each item has its own purpose, and occasionally their uses are quite unexpected. For example, you might need to burn a box to get the contents inside or use a water gun to put out a fire in the fireplace to open a new path.

Manage the lights to avoid detection

A crucial mechanism in the game is the flashlight. Players can turn the light on or off to see in the dark, but its battery is limited. More importantly, the light can also make you visible to the clowns.

This forces you to consider when to turn on the light to find items and when to turn it off to hide in the darkness.

Solve puzzles to find your way out

Much of the challenge in Play Time lies in combining items and solving small puzzles in the house. You'll need to carefully observe your surroundings, press hidden buttons, unlock mechanisms, and trigger various events. Once everything is solved correctly, the final door will open, allowing you to escape this bizarre birthday party.

Despite its relatively short duration, Play Time creates tension thanks to its dark atmosphere, unexpected clown appearances, and the need to manage a flashlight while navigating puzzles. If you enjoy point-and-click horror games with simple yet suspenseful puzzles, Play Time offers a compact experience that keeps you on alert with every step.

For a different kind of puzzle experience, Plastic Coquina offers a slower and more surreal atmosphere.
