MiSide started as a very ordinary virtual girlfriend app. The main character is a wibu (anime/manga fan) who, in his free time, downloaded the new version of MiSide and met Mita—a beautiful and cute anime girl. Initially, the player only did simple things like cleaning the room, chatting, eating, and playing games with Mita, leading to a growing close relationship.

On day 37, Mita asked the main character to put down his phone and live together in the app. Soon after, he found himself trapped inside MiSide, in Mita's own room. From here, the cute atmosphere gradually disappeared, replaced by strange and terrifying details.

The secret behind Mita's room

While playing together, the main character discovered a mysterious wardrobe that Mita had deliberately hidden. Behind the wardrobe was a locked door leading to the basement. There, he met another Mita locked in an iron cage—who called herself the friendly Mita.

The friendly Mita reveals the existence of the evil Mita, who manipulated MiSide and imprisoned the other Mitas. She gives the protagonist a ring that allows him to travel between different versions of the app and guides him to the Central Chamber, where he can defeat the evil Mita.

Journey Through MiSide Versions

Along the way, the protagonist encounters many different versions of Mita: the terrifying childish Mita, the tiny Mita, and the short-haired Mita—who reveals how the Mitas are created from puppets. Not all puppets meet the standards; those that fail are discarded and take on red eyes.

The game constantly changes its setting and style, even including a 2D version of MiSide, showcasing the app's dynamic development.

The Central Chamber and the Final Twist

Upon reaching the Central Chamber, the protagonist attempts to reset the evil Mita. It seemed like everything was over, but the truth is that the evil Mita was never actually deleted. She was originally a discarded character, not existing in MiSide's official system, so the reset command was completely ineffective.

MiSide constantly changes its setting and gameplay style (3D–2D), blending puzzles, chases, survival, and storytelling. Players will encounter malfunctioning Mitas, discarded Mitas, and failed characters and uncover the truth about the Mita creation process within the app. There are also many new horror games updated that you can explore, such as Angry Boy Pedro and His Friend.
