In a world where every order can be a contract, you—a brand-new waiter—accidentally stand between a couple who do not belong here. An entity that loves so much that it tears space apart just to hold the hand of its lover during dinner.
May I Take Your Order is not simply a visual novel. It is a distorted love song of two dimensions, resounding between the sound of knives and forks and the cold stares from strange diners. If you were ever haunted by The Body Monstrous—where the deformed body becomes the voice of repressed emotions—then May I Take Your Order will be the next dinner you should not sit alone.
You are Moth—an ordinary young person racing with job applications, your hands almost falling off because you can't finish writing. One day, you step into a restaurant that looks... "normal." Not too luxurious, not too cheap. Everything is polished to a cold perfection.
And then, you get the job. Your only fault is showing up on time.
In the chaos of the Saturday night shift, you come across a polite man sitting alone, saying his girlfriend is coming. He is simply enjoying a cup of coffee, without any phone calls or rush. A smile is always there, but there is no disappointment in his eyes.
Waiting... or summoning?
He asks for a red crayon with a look that doesn't match the request at all. You can't find red, so you give blue—a seemingly innocuous decision.
A few minutes later, the table turns into a summoning circle, furniture is thrown, no human voices, only a double-layered screech from an unidentified mouth.
She appears.
Toai Poria.
Poria isn't human. She's... something. A soft, curled, spiraling entity, soaked in sweet juices and laughter that doesn't belong in this world. Hendrick, the individual who stood out, is delighted to see his girlfriend once more. He even brought her a shirt because this is a polite restaurant.
You stand there, trying not to cry. But tears come, and your eyes sting when you look at her, as if they're betraying you. Everything falls apart in silence—no one screams. Only you realize that something has gone beyond the limits of reality.
There are at least 5 endings, each revealing a different angle of the truth. But no matter which branch you take, the price is always your own sanity. Do you have the courage to take a new table… after witnessing Hendrick and Poria's monster?
You can quit. You can run. But once you hear the name Toai Poria, it’s enough to make your nervous system never calm down again.
Play May I Take Your Order not to win but to witness love in a form that humans are not supposed to understand. This is an indie horror visual novel where romance and obsession come together in a restaurant that never really closes…
