Have you ever felt like your TV screen was staring back at you?
In Late Night TV, you don’t have to run away from monsters or solve tricky puzzles. You just… turn on the TV to the right channel every night. But then, that simplicity opens up a hidden nightmare.
This title is a short indie horror game that plays on the inner fears, loneliness and the feeling of being watched – something that is present in every small room at midnight.
You play as a man living alone in an apartment. There is no noise, no one around — just the sofa, an old TV and mysterious notes: “Today is channel 0… Don’t forget.”
Every night, he returns to the remote. But what comes off the TV is no longer the usual program. Instead, there are fragments of images, piercing sounds, unidentified voices, etc.
The room changes every day. A new picture appears. A shadow passes through the frame. And the worst part is he can’t stop.
The gameplay is extremely minimalist, focusing on atmosphere:
This gameplay makes you ask yourself, “Am I controlling the character, or am I just a helpless spectator like him?”
Yes. It’s a free indie game on the horror games platform.
No. The game has a linear ending, but it leaves a haunting aftertaste and opens up for many interpretations.
The duration is approximately 10–15 minutes. It’s short but enough to create an unforgettable feeling of fear.
There are no scares that are sudden and scary. The fear comes from the atmosphere, repetition, and small, strange details.
Late Night TV is not for those who like fast action or puzzles. Silence, isolation, and vague shadows behind the screen create an artistic experience that instills fear. If you like Pinocchiogoria-style games, don’t miss this game.
