First Base is a romantic-horror visual novel where the sweet atmosphere of a first relationship gradually turns into an inexplicable sense of unease. Players take on the role of Yin, an introverted college student trying to open up to a new life—and to someone special.

Yin is the type of person who has never actively socialized. Every day, she often stops by the quiet baseball field to read books and watch the team practice. There, she meets Dakota Clay, a standout player who is both friendly and… unsettling.

While reading, a ball almost hits you—Dakota appears just in time to catch it. Impressed by his unexpected concern, you accept his invitation to lunch.

From there, things start to get… strange. Dakota always knows where you are, even if you haven’t told him. He remembers exactly what you like—even if you haven’t shared it with him. And sometimes, between those friendly smiles, there’s something that flickers through his eyes as if he’s watching your every move. You try to chalk it up to being observant, but the closer you get to Dakota, the more the details pile up:

• Chance encounters happen too often.
• He always seems to arrive a few minutes before you, no matter how hard you try to change your routine.
• Your phone sometimes gives you strange notifications, like someone has checked your location.

Nothing too obvious to call it creepy. But enough to make you feel like there’s something right over your shoulder, like you’re being watched more closely than usual. The further you progress in this sweet romance, the more you have to wonder: Does Dakota really like you… or does he know more than anyone should?
