Trail of Stars is a dark, fairytale-like fantasy visual novel about two people who are treated unfairly by life but still find solace in each other. Inspired by melancholic folk tales, the game immerses players in a world of lords, knights, mysterious forests, and painful secrets buried behind castle walls.
The main character is an orphaned girl raised in the castle of a powerful lord. Beside her is a gentle young man, who also carries his own wounds as a result of an unwanted relationship with the lord himself.
Amidst an environment full of prejudice, pressure, and hidden threats, the two gradually become each other's only support. On a spring hunting trip, they temporarily escape the suffocating life in the castle and share their fears, regrets, and unspoken dreams. However, behind that romantic facade lie the dark shadows of power, control, and painful choices awaiting them.
Much of the experience revolves around reading dialogue, internal thoughts, and richly literary descriptions. Each chapter helps players better understand the characters and the world around them.
