You don't understand why you're here. No one else does. Just a cold statue standing in the middle of nowhere greets you, then a light guides you — and so the journey begins.

In Soul Void Redux, you play as a lost soul, drawn into a strange dimension — where other souls drift aimlessly, voices echo from the void, and every step can lead to something strange or painful.

What's new in Redux?

Those who played the original will immediately notice the changes that are worth noting:

  • Music is present, creating a haunting and emotional atmosphere.
  • Walking speed and dialogue can be adjusted, making the experience smoother.
  • Many new side characters, with a series of hidden dialogues that hint at or insanity.
  • Some interfaces and controls have also been improved for more convenience.

Although the plot is unclear, the world of Soul Void Redux is still captivating—strange, ambiguous, and haunting.

How to play Soul Void Redux

  • Use the arrow keys to move, and Enter or E to interact.
  • Press Q to open the quick menu, from which you can review items and notes and save your game
  • Talk to NPCs multiple times to discover more dialogue—some will repeat, and some may give you important hints.
  • You can interact with the environment, such as barrels, bubbles, houses, water, flowers, etc.
  • The game has a save system using hearts—bright spots in the dark.
  • Pick up items (like “Void Chicken” or “Silver Ring”) and return them to NPCs to solve hidden side quests in the game.

A world between light and darkness

You will meet strange characters:

  • A large spirit wearing a diver’s helmet, calling you the one who didn’t fall off Charon’s ship.
  • Faceless people tremble in the darkness, not knowing whether to move forward or turn back.
  • An arrogant person hiding behind an amused smile, both welcoming and threatening: “We will have fun… whether you like it or not.”

The space is like a floating dream—sometimes quiet, sometimes chaotic, sometimes filled with sadness. But if you observe every detail carefully and listen to every broken word, you will see the story gradually emerge—broken but real, like your memories.

Soul Void Redux does not force. It invites. It lets you find your own way, choose who to trust, and decide which way to turn. You may lose your way, you may get lost in the dark fog, but if you are patient, you will realize that this is not just a game; this is your journey. After those heart-pounding moments, do you have the courage to face what awaits in Scary Assessment?
