Onigashima is a psychological horror visual novel about your return to your village after a confrontation with a mysterious ancient entity. You are welcomed as a hero, but your fragmented memories and unusual signs make you doubt what really happened in the forest that year.
After defeating Yamako, an entity that has been passed down in folklore, you return to your village to cheers. The villagers claim that they owe you their gratitude. However, the relationships around you become strange: everyone remembers you in ways you don't realize, and everyone believes that there was some deep connection between you and them.
The more you learn, the more you feel the world around you is becoming unstable.
At the same time, you also begin to experience strange signs in your body as if the aftermath of the war still exists somewhere inside. As the night of the red moon approaches, you must face the truth about yourself, about the mysterious entity, and about the secret that the whole village is trying to hide.
