I Know Where You Live is a visual novel mixing psychological horror and computer simulation, where banal messages become a nightmare. Asya, a young artist who just moved to a new apartment and often hosts live streams to chat with the audience. During one of the sessions that are usually pretty boring, an unknown viewer starts revealing private information, things only she should know, from what she is doing at the exact moment and the things in her room, to secrets she has never told the public. Is this a coincidence or are there people watching her secretly?

A Tense Psychological Horror Narrative

In I Know Where You Live, the story unfolds entirely on Asya’s computer screen—through live streams, private messages, emails, and image files. The experience lasts for three days and consists of two live broadcasts that gradually uncover the stalker and show the secrets of Asya’s life.

The game doesn't use jump scares. But instead you get this creeping sense of unease through suspicious comments, revelation of private information, and seemingly innocuous, small details. The uncertainty of who might be watching makes I Know Where You Live intensely stressful—especially when you are forced to decide whom you can actually trust.

Exploring Computer Applications

You have to go through a bunch of different apps to figure out what’s going on. Asya is on the Glitch app, where she hosts live streams and interacts with her audience, and has Pavelgram for conversations with family, friends and her channel manager. Her email inbox is full of alerts and dubious messages and the Gallery contains pictures and documents that might hold vital clues.

Pick your picks and gather clues

Don’t just look at the conversations. Check image metadata, cross - reference messages between apps, and look for any inconsistencies. Every choice you make is recorded and that choice influences how Asya reacts, what she shares in her broadcasts and who she believes in.

If you’re unsure what to investigate next, you can use the hint feature. Once you’ve completed your tasks for the day, select "Go to Sleep" on the taskbar to advance to the next segment.

Three endings and secrets to uncover

I Know Where You Live has three different endings, depending on the choices you make and the clues you find before the third nite. There are also hidden achievements for those who want to find every secret, and a built-in 2048 mini-game on the computer for a little bit of extra diversion.

If you like detective games and visual novels and horror that sneaks up on you through the smallest details, give I Know Where You Live a try. Read each message carefully, look through every trace, think twice before you answer. One seemingly harmless decision could change Asya's ultimate fate.
