Exit the Backrooms: Level 94 plunges you into a bizarre area of the Backrooms, where fear doesn't come from the darkness or endless corridors but from the very sense of normalcy distorted to an unsettling degree. This isn't pure survival anymore; it's a journey of exploration, a constant questioning of whether what lies ahead is truly safe.
Level 94 opens as a small town in daylight. There are houses, streets, and even a familiar fountain. In the distance, a castle sits precariously, as if waiting for you to approach.
But the deeper you go, the sense of "safety" begins to crumble. There are no people. No vibrant sounds. Only entities standing at a distance you can recognize… but not close enough to understand what they are. Everything feels like a misrecreated memory.
You'll wander the area searching for artifacts. They're scattered throughout houses, on the streets, or near large buildings. There are no clear directions, so usually you'll be finding your way and memorizing locations.
While exploring, you'll encounter guards who look like robots or grotesque knights. They might startle you at first, but they'll later become your allies.
They move slowly, make mechanical sounds, and are sometimes a bit… unresponsive. But these entities help you navigate some dangerous areas or assist in later challenges, such as providing guidance through traps or offering support during combat encounters.
Once you've collected enough, you enter the castle. There are no traditional bosses here. Instead, there's a strange, almost invisible king, leaving only the floating image of his cloak and crown. He doesn't attack you. He assigned the task.
The challenges in the castle are more about puzzles than reflexes. There are sections where you have to find movement patterns and sections where you have to guide guards through laser systems under specific conditions.
There are no specific instructions. Everything is trial and error, observation, and trying again. Sometimes you'll feel like you're doing everything wrong… until you unexpectedly get it right.
Exit the Backrooms: Level 94 is unsettling because of its silence, its mismatched details, and the feeling that you're in a place that looks real but isn't. This is the kind of level that makes you slow down, look more closely, and start to doubt everything around you. Not because something is chasing you, but because you're unsure where you're going.
And if Level 94 made you feel trapped in an unfamiliar space, then perhaps 14 Days With You will be the next step where the unease doesn't come from the environment but from a person who is always too close to you.
