Cobb Can Move is a top-down survival horror game that plunges you into a shadowy dungeon world, a place where nothing is quite as stable as it initially seems. You awaken within a dimly lit, pixelated labyrinth, with Cobb, a creature that is always lurking, somewhere very close by. Crucially, the rules of the game are never static. In each level, Cobb changes his hunting strategy: sometimes he tracks you by sound, other times by scent, and occasionally by light or even more unpredictable mechanics.
Every level features a brief instructional hint; while it may appear insignificant at a glance, it is actually the key to your survival. Please read these directions carefully to make sure you understand what you should and shouldn't do. There are times when you can move rapidly, and times when one slip equals instant identification.
You move your character through tight spaces, collecting goods and searching for a method of opening your escape path. Light is a life line and a trap at the same time. Sometimes light helps you survive, other times Cobb uses it to find you.
The majority of your time will be spent gathering coal, flipping switches or igniting furnaces and unlocking the exit. Sounds simple, but the issue is that Cobb is often changing his style of hunting while you’re busy trying to fulfill these chores.
Cobb Can Move is a horror puzzle game that blends survival elements with the escape-the-room genre. Do you possess the wits and courage to escape from Cobb, or will you be trapped in this place forever? And if you enjoy the sensation of being watched in a world as inherently unstable as this one, KinitoPET makes for a logical next step to dive into.
